During an interview this week, the head of WhatsApp Will Cathcart said “People have wanted an iPad for a long time,” revealed news is making a news release of the app by the Meta parenting company WhatsApp.
He also added “we’d love to do it,” in an interview said, Cathcart.
Will Cathcart has not crossed its boundaries of releasing the information and not even committed any period for its release but said that possibilities are to see it soon, now WhatsApp has also built a technology that was demanded by its clients.
Last year also Cathcart said in the matter as “we did a lot of work on the technology for supporting multiple devices,” the statement is g the intention of the company to, make the App as the name of the iPad.
He shared long words such as “our Web and our desktop apps now have that. If I have multi devices on, I can turn my phone off or lose my network connection and still get messages on my desktop. That would be important for a tablet app, to be able to use the app even if your phone is not on. So the underlying technology is there,” he added.
He also said that because of the way WhatsApp encrypts messages, it was earlier was not able to sync chats across the devices over the internet as most other messaging apps work. So if WhatsApp on your phone didn’t have access to the internet it couldn’t work on the desktop client.
The other version of WhatsApp Beta Version supports the multi-devices features and lets you connect up to 4 devices at a time. Still, the process involves mapping device identifiers to an account key on WhatsApp servers in a way that is still encrypted.
Such technology in WhatsApp exists and not it is the best time for WhatsApp to launch its iPad app for multip0le devices.
